**To submit an application click on the Guild Application link on the left side of this page in the Recruitment Status menu.**
Also please create a website account using the same raiding toon name that you are applying on as the username/login.
Officers regularly review applications and if we have any questions or would like to have you attend a trial raid we will send you a private post on these forums.
Our Guild Raiding Policy, Guild Charter and explanation of our dkp system are found in the Guild Policies menu to the left. Please take a moment to read them before filling out your application.
Recruiting post/information: Exquisite Pain is a competitive, GLBT-friendly raiding guild looking for more mature (18+), active raiders interested in 25 man raiding. We are a small-to-medium sized guild on Proudmoore that has regularly been in the top 5 guilds Horde-side since BC.
Are you level 80, possibly have some set of Frost Resist screwing up your bank slots, and wondering how you're going to get gear that will /leave/ you hit-capped without gimping your stats any more? (17% sucks, amirite?) Do you have have a burning desire to slaughter liches and dragonz and their scourge-y friends with a group of 24 like-minded adventurers?
We will consider applications from any and all classes and specs. We post current openings in our Recruitment Status panel to the left, but ANY class, and ANY spec is welcome to apply for possible future openings.
Wrath has removed much of the class/spec-specific requirements from encounters and we have been successful running with widely varying class makeups.
Our 25 man schedule runs three nights a week with times helpful for both American and Aussie raiders. This rotates between Thu/Fri/Sat and Fri/Sat/Mon to give everyone a shot at all the bosses regardless of your time zone. Raid time/duration is 7 or 8 pm server start time/4 hr runs. We also run non-DKP 10-mans at different times throughout the week.
We've cleared all 25 man standard content, and are currently working on OS +3 Drakes up. Many of the bosses in Naxx we've downed with just 19 raiders (including your DPS test, Patchwerk), we've killed Sartharion with 16, and we were waltzing into Malygos 10-man when there were NO strategies set up. We are always willing to do things our own way.
What EP is looking for in you: -You have a level 80 toon. -You who love the game, love raiding, and are a good team player. -You are committed and willing to make your character the best it can be. -You have a sense of humor. -You are reliable and will make scheduled raid times regularly.
What you can expect from EP: -Strong, mature raiders that believe in quality playing. -Experienced raid leaders that keep a fun, and friendly atmosphere. -Devilishly handsome and hilarious raid leaders. No, really. -A friendly, humorous guild that encourages and helps people to do better. -Fun events, like old-world raids, or drunken New Year's 10-mans. -Cake, the cutting, and distribution of it. -The usual: website, 6 bank tabs and a lovely purple tabard that no one wears anymore.
What you will not get in EP: -We are not a leveling guild, you can not expect much help to level your alts. We try to help out when we can, but 25 man raiding is our top priority. -Elitism. While we keep an eye on WWS, and expect people to play their best, we will not theorycraft you into the ground, and we do not allow an environment of harassment or epeen-itis. WoW is now more about skill than pre-built specs than ever, and we encourage that. -Slurs, slanders, hate speech, trolling and/or large amounts of representation in Trade Chat. -Pie. Well, you might get it sometime. But cake is more important.
