Guild Charter
Welcome to
Exquisite Pain
...

PREFACE

All current and new members should take the time to read and understand the Guld Charter, Raiding Policy and EPGP Guide. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact an Officer or the Guild Leaders.

MISSION STATEMENT

This is a GLBT-friendly end-game raiding guild for people who are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered. The foundation of this group is a core of experienced raiders. We are looking to expand our group with mature, committed, like-minded individuals who are open and accepting of alternative lifestyles and can commit to bringing the guild to a new level.

GUILD GOALS

The guild was created to focus on end-game raiding in a friendly and fun environment for late night raiders with raids starting at approximately 8:00pm PST. Our raiding days vary but are always posted at least two weeks in advance. Our raiding goals get updated every month and can be viewed on our 'News' page. Our goal is to progress steadily and competitively through Wow content. We consider ourselves a "medium-core" rather than "hard-core" guild.

REQUIREMENTS

The following are a list of requirements to join the guild as a potential Raid Member:
  • Your raiding character must be Level 80 and be geared/gemmed/enchanted appropriately for our current farm content.
  • You must be willing and available to raid at 7:30pm/8:00pm Pacific Standard Time for 3-4 hours and be available for the majority of our scheduled raid times.
  • Mature, open-minded, committed, patient people who know their class and are comfortable in a raiding situation.
  • You will be subject to advice from class leads and so must be willing to take constructive criticism.
  • We accept people of all backgrounds who are 18 and over.

ORGANIZATION

A. Leadership
The founding GMs have retired from their positions, with the best wishes of the membership and new leadership. The current Guild Leader is Gilvar. I am here to help build this guild into a solid end-game raiding guild with strong, self-sufficient players who want to enjoy a fun and mature playing environment. As our membership has grown we have added additional Officers and Class Leads to help the guild move toward its raiding goals. If you have any comments, suggestions or questions please do not hesitate to ask.

B. Ranks
Our guild ranks are as follows:
  • Guild Master: Leader of the guild.
  • Guild Mistress: Co-Leader of the guild. (retired)
  • Officer: Class leads and other guild leaders.
  • Veteran: Members who have been actively contributing to the guild over time, actively help other guildies, and who reliably and regularly participate in raids.
  • Raid Member: Active members of the guild who have passed the Initiate phase.
  • Member: a. New members who are under evaluation; or b. Friends of Members who wish to remain in the guild in a social/occasional raiding aspect only.
  • Alternate: Alts of members of the guild.

C. Guild Leaders
The following people are the Guild Officers. If you have any questions, comments or concerns these are the people you can address them to:

Guild Master: Gilvar
Guild Officers: Amairgen, Ludovik, Derrida, Shevha, Heenaya
Guild Raid Leaders/Class Leads: Burrick
Web Mistress: Gilvar

NEW MEMBERS & RECRUITMENT

A. New Members
New members of Exquisite Pain who have not previously been raiding with us will be given Member rank for a trial period before being accepted and promoted to Raid Member. This trial period will last until class leads, officers and guild leaders feel you are a good fit for the guild. A good fit includes both how you participate in raids, contribute as a member of the guild (in forums, on sign-ups, in chat...) and how you play your class. We don't expect you to be perfect but we expect you to work at improving and be open to feedback. At the end of the evaluation period you may be invited to become a Raid Member. This period can be 2-3 weeks or longer as it will take time to properly evaluate you.

B. Open Recruitment
Our recruitment status will be reflected on the Recruitment Status Menu of the website. As slots are filled or positions become open we will update that information there. We do not enforce people to spec a certain way since we want people to play to their capacity in the way they enjoy. However we may only be recruiting a certain spec of a given class. If this is the case then the information will be conveyed via the Recruitment Status Menu. It is expected that people who apply for those positions are familiar with and enjoy playing that class spec.

COMMUNICATION

Our primary form of Guild Communication will be done via the website. New and current members are expected to utilize the raid calendar for sign-ups and the forums to participate in conversations, read strategies and keep up to date on policies.

INACTIVITY AND ACCOUNT REMOVAL

As a member you are expected to play an active part of the guild. Below are the time frames for inactivity and guild removal. Again, see the Raiding Policy for raiding related attendance requirements.
  • Raid Members who are inactive for 30 days OR fall below minimum raid attendance without leadership notice and approval will have their status changed to Member.
  • All Guild Members who are inactive for 60 days will be removed from the guild.

  • Any extenuating circumstances where you need to take an extended amount of time off will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

    SANCTIONS

We are a guild that is designed for mature people and therefore do not want to have to police its members. This section is designed in the event someone breaks any of the Guild Policies. Any breach should be reported to the Guild Leaders or Officers.
    • Guild Leaders and Officers are responsible for deciding how to deal with Members who break Guild Charter.
    • Breaches by new Members will face a lower level of tolerance than those of full members. They may be removed without consultation if their actions make it clear that they do not fit into the guild atmosphere.
    • The Guild Leaders and Officers have the right to use their judgment regarding issues not covered in the Guild Charter.

We invite you to join us on our Forums. Feel free to contact any member of the guild if you have any questions.
